Protocol: Entropy
Protocol: Entropy
A top-down tower defense game where resources are limited. You begin the simulation with a full supply of ammo for each of the five tower types: fire, lightning, ice, wind, and water. Each shot depletes your reserves until there is nothing left, at which point you must adapt to survive or die trying.
The enemy waves will never cease and you can only delay what is inevitable.
How to Play
Enemies will spawn from the left side of the screen and follow the path to reach your base, located at the right of the screen. When enemies reach your base, they will deal damage, and once your base is destroyed, the simulation ends.
Elemental towers can be placed by selecting them from the bottom of the screen and placing them on an empty tile. Each element is strong in its own way:
- Fire: shoots a devastating fireball that explodes to deal damage in an area
- Lightning: continuously strikes a target, prioritizing enemies with more HP
- Ice: slows a target, prioritizing enemies not already slowed
- Wind: pushes back a target, prioritizing enemies closest to the base
- Water: applies a debuff to the target, enhancing the effects of all other elements
Utilizing the synergy between elements will be crucial to maximizing efficiency:
- Fire + Water: boiling water creates a steam explosion in a larger area
- Lightning + Water: water conducting electricity allows lightning to strike multiple enemies
- Ice + Water: freezing water to trap enemies in ice, rooting them in place
- Wind + Water: swirling water creates a hurricane, which knocks back enemies in an area
- Water + Water: splashing water causes the wet status to be applied in an area
You start with everything. You will end with nothing.
How long can you delay the inevitable?
